Classical Baltic tour

Not a new, but still unique destination

Lithuania has been named as a must visit destination in '25 by Lonely Planet! The Baltic states are home to medieval castles, ancient fortresses, and beautifully preserved Old Towns in Vilnius, Riga, and Tallinn, each a UNESCO World Heritage site. These cities reflect centuries of history, from medieval prosperity and Hanseatic trade to periods of occupation and independence. The Baltic countries each have rich cultural identities and unique traditions, from folk dances and seasonal festivals to beautifully crafted artisanal goods. The Song and Dance Festivals, held in each Baltic country, are UNESCO-recognized cultural events that highlight the enduring spirit and pride of the region’s people. In the late 1980s, a peaceful independence movement known as the Singing Revolution emerged. Citizens from all three Baltic states gathered to sing traditional songs as a form of protest, symbolizing unity and resilience. This led to the Baltic Way in 1989, a human chain spanning nearly 700 kilometers across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, demonstrating their united desire for freedom. In 1991, the Baltic states regained their independence and quickly transitioned to democratic governance. The region is also gaining international culinary recognition, especially with recent Michelin Guide entries in Riga and Vilnius after Tallinn who was rated first. Expect a blend of modern twists on traditional dishes, vibrant markets, and a commitment to local ingredients.

Great history

Lithuania’s history is rooted in the powerful medieval Grand Duchy of Lithuania, which, at its peak in the 15th century, was one of the largest states in Europe.
